Hi everyone.

Just recently, Typhoon Yolanda / Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded, devastated Philippines and Vietnam.
As of now, millions of Filipinos are affected and more than 10,000 Filipinos are reported dead, because of the typhoon. :(

For more info and ways on how you can help them, please click on the link below:

CBS News: Typhoon Haiyan/Typhoon Yolanda recovery - How you can help

Rappler: Victims of Typhoon Yolanda need your help

If you couldn't help by donating, you may help by spreading the word.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading.

:bulletblue: Special thanks to Rigoberto60 and Ruolina for allowing me to post this journal to their groups! :bulletblue:

Just recently, Typhoon Yolanda / Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded, devastated Philippines and Vietnam. When I saw in the news what happened to the people and cities affected, it really broke my heart. :( It was said (or probably I read in an article) that some people are to the point of losing their minds because of hunger and loss of families. Indeed they desperately need help right now.
By the way, some direct links for donation are the following: (these can also be found in the Rappler link above)
:bulletred: UNICEF
:bulletred: Philippine Red Cross
:bulletred: World Food Programme

I hope they can get through this. Let's pray for them.

Many of my relatives were affected by the typhoon. More than half of their homes were destroyed. I hope them and the other survivors will be able to get back to their feet again.

I'm from the Philippines and was not affected by the typhoon, but it really broke my heart to watch on the news what happened to my fellow Filipinos. Thanks to the deviantArt community for bringing awareness to the situation!

There is a lot of stress in the Philippines as of now...both sides of all my family cousins have come out unscathed, but the other families...
I just don't know... :(
from a personal prayer of mine for the Philippines....
"Lord, like a gardener who spreads water over his plants, spread strength and courage to the charities at work, to the helpers coming from foreign soil, and most importantly, the Philippines.
The Philippines is no stranger to typhoons, and they have survived countless terrors, saved by their faith. Therefore, like them we must believe in God, our father...Amen."

I don't live in Vietnam, but I am Vietnamese myself, so I worry about my family... True, I don't know them well at all and the last time I've seen them was when I was five, but they're still my family. To think any of them might have been hurt or even worse... It's definitely a scary thought. :(
